Career Training

In addition to academic training, Tulsa Job Corps provides career technical training in the following areas:

Carpentry
Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Security Certification
Facilities Maintenance
Food Service
Homeland Security
Medical Office Support
Nurse Assistant
Office Administration
Pharmacy Technician

Each career technical trade class is scheduled to work on Applied Academics. This class allows students to apply academics to their chosen career technical trade. Both an Academic and a Career Technical instructor work with the students in the classroom on trade related material. Applied Academic classes are set up to show the relevance of how academics and career technology work together in the workplace.

Students also work with the Aztec program, Workkeys/KeyTrain program, as well as project-based learning. The WorkKeys certification is nationally recognized. Tulsa Job Corps Center is an approved WorkKeys testing site.
